Nebraska Internet Marketing Law to Improve Internet Marketing Results
Nebraska internet marketing laws will improve the quality of internet marketing data and promote innovation in the industry.
The Nebraska Senate passed the legislation Tuesday, but Gov.
Pete Ricketts said it will be sent to the governor’s desk for signature.
“I’m excited to sign it,” Ricketts told reporters.
“I’ve been working on it for a long time.
I’ve worked on this issue for the last five years.”
The legislation, titled “The Internet Marketing Analytics Act of 2018,” seeks to make internet marketing more accessible, transparent and accessible for companies.
It also seeks to better align internet marketing with federal rules.
Ricketts said the state will invest $300 million in internet marketing to “provide a framework to enable the industry to build an industry that can compete with the world’s biggest companies in an ever-changing marketplace.”
The Nebraska legislature passed a bill in January that would require internet marketing companies to have a marketing director who is a certified social media marketing professional and that the director be a Nebraska resident.
The state is the only state in the nation that does not require that a director be licensed to sell a product or service to a customer.
Rickets office is not required to appoint a director, but the state is working on the rules.
In the meantime, internet marketing marketers can look for a company to help them get the data they need to evaluate their website.
That will be done through a partnership between the Nebraska Information Technology Department, the Nebraska State Office of Consumer Services and the Nebraska Association of Internet Marketing Professionals.
“The Internet marketing industry is growing,” said Ricketts.
“We’re in a new era of the internet marketing world, and this is an important opportunity to provide it with the information and tools that it needs to compete.
We’re not doing it in a vacuum, we’re doing it together.”
Ricketts added that he has a strong working relationship with Internet Marketing Network (IMN), the state’s industry-supported, nonprofit organization.
IMN has a mission to “enhance the online marketing and communications opportunities for businesses, consumers and governments across the state.”
